Environmental groups prepare lawsuit against salmon farming project in Gironde

France has approved a large land-based salmon farming facility in Le Verdon-sur-Mer. Several environmental and animal welfare organizations intend to challenge the decision. The project envisages annual production of up to 10,000 tonnes.
