Spain Transfers Leadership in Wildfire Fight to Military Unit

Following severe wildfires west of Madrid and in the province of Avila, Spain's Interior Ministry has declared a national emergency. The Military Emergency Unit, UME, is now coordinating the response across administrative boundaries.
