Wildfire in Gironde: 42,000 Hectares Affected, 220,000 People Evacuated

The wildfire near the Bassin d'Arcachon continued to spread by Sunday morning. Authorities ordered additional evacuations southeast of the basin and on the outskirts of the Bordeaux metropolitan area.
