Wildfire in Gironde Paralyzes Transport and Economy in Southwestern France

In addition to evacuations, the major wildfire in Gironde is having significant consequences for rail transport, postal services, energy supplies and businesses. According to official figures, more than 40,000 hectares have already been destroyed.
