Wildfires in Gironde: 42,000 hectares affected, 220,000 people evacuated

Severe wildfires in southwestern France have affected large parts of Gironde within four days. Authorities reported 42,000 hectares affected on Sunday and a total of 220,000 people evacuated as a precaution.
